Hot, steamy, confident and resilient are some of the words you can use to describe Avina or as shes known on the gram @lucifuuurrrrr. Bartender, Model, Inked up, artist and old soul. Checkout her hot interview below.
Avina, please tell us a little about yourself and how you got into modeling.
A: Well I am 25yrs old and got into modeling about 4-5yrs ago. It is honestly not something I ever saw myself doing growing up, but I had an opportunity to try some amateur stuff and just loved it from there!
Avina being a bartender what are some drinks you specialize in, and what is your favorite spirit of choice?
A: Well I work at dive bars or night clubs mainly so most of the time it’s just very basic mixed drinks, but every now and then I get the freedom to do fun mixed shots which I like to get creative with! My personal favorite spirit of choice is vodka or rum, both make me a happy drinker and are so versatile with how they can be used!
You seem confident in your own skin. Have you always been this way growing up?
A: Oh god no haha even now I am still dealing with a lot of personal Insecurities and still learning to stop comparing myself to social media stars and everyone else. I was bullied quite a bit growing up and had a lot of crappy relationships that caused me even more Insecurities regarding how I looked and carried myself. I would say it was not until the last 3-5yrs that I have started working on those insecurities, I still struggle but I am proud of how far I have come along! At the end of the day, we are always our own biggest critics, but we need to learn to stop and give ourselves the same love and understanding we give others.
Three words to describe your philosophy on life:
A: Do not stay down. I like to say that life will go on with or without you and it is up to you not to get left behind. You will fall and stumble many times, but do not stay down. If you keep getting up you will move forward, and you will be stronger every time.
How long have you been modeling, and what is your favorite shoot to date?
A: It has been about 4 years that I have been seriously modeling and doing actual photoshoots with actual photographers rather than amateur stuff. Favorite shoot to date? Hmm that is a good question I have had sooo many amazing memories at a lot of these shoots! Overall environment/experience wise it would be the BDSM photo meet I did with LM Meets! If I am going off the pictures, it is my last shoot I just did with Krazed Photography and DripNShoot! I can see the change in my confidence and growth of my skills in those photos and I am really proud of that (:
What do your tattoos mean to you? Do all of your tattoos have a meaning?
A: So, they don’t all have a meeting, but they all mean something to me. And what I mean by that is I think that tattoos are a great form of self-expression and I like to believe that each one of my tattoos shows a little bit about me whether it’s as a person or the interest that I have or the things that I consider beautiful. Some of my tattoos do you have actual meanings behind them mainly related to family or my own personal journey in life but a lot of them we’re honestly because I thought they were cool and it’s something that I could see on my body for the rest of my life because it’s something that makes me happy when I look at it or it something that makes me just feel more myself after being put on me and for me that’s enough.
What do you like to do in your downtime?
A: I am actually a huge anime and manga geek haha so a lot of the time is spent reading or watching animes! I actually just love reading in general though I have since I was a kid I always got in trouble for bringing books to the dinner table LOL I also love just being outside, nature is one of the most amazing things in the world and I love to fully embrace it anytime I can. I do a lot of art on my downtime too. I have always been an artsy crafty person, honestly all the women in my family always have been and it’s a tradition that I have been caring on my family now as well with Family Art days!
2020 has been a tough year for everyone, with many experiences and lessons learned. What will you be taking with you into 2021?
A: 2020 has put us all through the ringer to say the least! But it has taught me a lot and I believe that its taught everybody a lot. We’ve all gone through different struggles during this time we’ve all realized how completely messed up the world is actually becoming or how messed up that it’s been, we’ve been separated from family and friends for long periods of time, it honestly seems like it’s been a giant game of Jumanji gone wrong! In 2021 I will definitely be more appreciative of the freedoms and the time I can spend with my friends and family rather than being in isolation, I’ll also have a new perseverance for dealing with situations I didn’t know could happen or situations I thought I’d never be in and trying to problem solve and figure out how to come out on top or at least survive. I think a lot of us are going to come out of this more prepared for things to go wrong and address them in a healthy manner. I’m also hoping that this voice we have together as a whole continues to speak out about the wrongdoings going on in our world and that by next year we can take action and start doing things about it and be more than just a voice.
Who or what inspires you? Why?
A: I am inspired by many people and many things in all honesty. I feel like there is a lot of beauty and a lot of lessons to be perceived by opening your eyes to the people and the things going on around you and I feel that you can turn anything into inspiration if you just know how to find the beauty in things. I like to use art and other artist as my biggest source of inspiration though because I like to see how other people perceive the world and different things about the world and it forces you to change your perspective and open up your mind to different Points of view and different angles to look at things in life and almost a sense of empathy for the things people feel while they are creating something so beautiful because sometimes pain and darkness are the biggest sources of the most beautiful pieces of works art and I like to see how people push through those things and it inspires me to try and do the same things in my life
Is there something about you that people are surprised to hear when they find out?
A: In all honesty the one thing that I feel most people are surprised about is that for one I’m not stuck up or bitchy like my appearance causes people to assume haha the second most common thing is I’m actually a lot smarter and a lot more thoughtful then people think I would be based on my looks and my personality and my job and what I do with my life. Everyone assumes that I am just some pretty girl who likes to have fun and that is about all they usually think of me. But I am a lot more intellectual and philosophical and a lot more self-aware of myself and my actions and my influence on other people as well as the things going on the world.
I do not have any issues with people assuming those things though because it’s A social construct that they were groomed in to thinking since childhood, that pretty girls can’t be smart or that were bitchy. and I love when people assume these things about me because my favorite thing to do is to break stereotypes and to get people to realize that we are more than just what society claims us to be. if I can even change just a few people’s minds in getting them to stop making certain judgments about women in my industry and women in general then I feel like it was worth it.
How does your ink change the way people interact with you?
A: Honestly when I first started getting tattooed I was really wary of the way it would change how people interact with me. But as I have gotten older and gotten more work done, I’ve learned that it doesn’t change the way that people have looked at me and interacted with me in a negative manner. I usually get a lot of compliments and people seem to be more excited and more open to talking to me because they like the artwork that I have. and I feel like for a lot of people it is a good easy way to start a conversation which can take away from the intimidation factor that I apparently give off. I love art and I love talking about my work with others and seeing the work they got done or hearing about what want to get done. I think the stigma of tattoos being taboo has basically diminished quite a bit and people are seeing it for the art that it is rather than as someone ruining their body or lives. Although I’m sure there’s been a few people that don’t like the way I luck and don’t agree with what I’m doing to my body they’ve never voiced that opinion to me which I appreciate because no one needs to have opinion on anyone else body, and being respectful enough to keep those opinions to one’s self shows a lot of maturity.
Any parting words?
A: The only thing I would want to part with saying is that life is too short to let the things that you want to do and the goals that you want to reach in the dreams you want to achieve pass you by. Take the risk while you can because you do not want to have any regrets when it is too late. And try to find the beauty in little things, life nowadays seem so hectic and things seem so hard and like everything is going wrong but there are still small things and little things around you and in your life and in the people around you that you can find beauty and love and kindness in and these are the things that you want to grasp onto these are the things that you want to spread yourself especially during dark times like the ones we’re going through right now. Happiness is always possible no matter who you are sometimes it comes later sometimes it comes sooner, but everyone deserves happiness and never lose hope of having it.
