Here we have a Japanese Whisky from the Chichibu producer named Ichiros Malt & Grain Whisky. It’s considered to be a whisky of the world because its a blend by Ichiro of his own young malt & grain whiskies with juice from 8 other distilleries from Scotland, England, Ireland, the U.S., and Canada. Although it does not have an age statement, it still became a wonderful tasty dram.
Name: Ichiros Malt & Grain Whisky
Region: Japan
Nose: Tobacco, Butter, Creamy Vanilla, a little spice, cinnamon and oak
Palate: Its a more bitter than sweet, there’s some citrus notes, nuts, oak and the back of the palate there is a minor burn, but it turns into butterscotch and figs.
Finish: Smokey short finish, quite nice, but can tell the blends are still young.
